In 2026, Christopher Williams’ conceptual work, ‘The Pedagogical Prop’, will take shape at FMP1. The artist, known for his exploration of the impact of images in industrial culture, proposes an immersive experience blending photography and music. The exhibition features a vinyl single, a key element of his work, which uses adaptations of a radio play text by Franz Xavier Kroetz. Williams thus questions the pedagogical functions of objects and images, highlighting their role in shaping perceptions. This project, in collaboration with Free Music Production, fits within a Berlin trend: listening bars dedicated to the discovery of rare vinyl records. A launch event is scheduled for April 29th, preceding Gallery Weekend, offering a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in Williams’ sonic and visual universe. The exhibition is accessible Saturday to Thursday.
