Cornelia Herfurtner confronts the viewer with mechanisms of denial and protection, exploring how we choose to ignore painful realities such as violence and global crises. Through poignant installations – wood reliefs, plaster cast reproductions – the artist interrogates our relationship to the visibility of these problems.
