The Heart is a Pump Part II: Extreme Humility

In April 2026, artists Rochelle Goldberg and Alexander Tovborg invite to an exploration of vulnerability and transformation through a series of figurative sculptures and paintings. This residency, organized by Kristian Vistrup Madsen and presented in the space Between Bridges, is part of a spiritual and corporeal approach. The work, titled “i can shrink smaller than your boot heel,” questions the limits of humility and the fusion between human and the unknown. The exhibition, the result of a project initiated by Bob Flanagan, builds on the themes of pain, repetition, and submission, explored through Christian iconography. Organized by Wolfgang Tillmans and supported by the Res Artis foundation, this residency offers a space for artistic experimentation and dialogue. The opening is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 from 6pm to 9pm. The exhibition runs from April 29 to June 30, 2026.
