Daniel Buren

Since 1938, Daniel Buren, an iconic figure of conceptual art, continues to explore the relationships between art and space with a bold approach. At Konrad Fischer Galerie, for Gallery Weekend Berlin, he presents ‘Three in One, relief sculptures, site-specific works’, a new series of relief sculptures directly integrated into the gallery’s architecture. Buren, known for his striped panels, transforms the space into a game of perspectives, revealing the invisible structures that shape our perception of exhibition venues. This exhibition is particularly noteworthy as it marks an evolution in his work, with imposing works that directly engage with the environment. The work is accessible for free from May 1st to August 1st, 2026. Buren, whose career has been built around the experimentation with materials and the relationship between the artist and his work, continues to challenge the conventions of contemporary art.
