In 2026, Lincoln Glenn Gallery will pay tribute to André Emmerich, a leading figure in the modern art market and often considered the first “mega-dealer.” This exhibition, the result of a close collaboration with Helen Frankenthaler, Anthony Caro, and William Bailey, explores the legacy of a man who redefined the relationships between artists and galleries for more than forty years. Emmerich played a crucial role in promoting emerging talents and shaping contemporary art. The event, free of charge, highlights his lasting influence and his impact on the New York art scene of the 1960s and 70s, a period marked by the emergence of feminism in art. It’s a unique opportunity to celebrate a pioneer and understand the foundations of contemporary art as it is today. The exhibition will be open from April 23 to June 27, 2026.
