Primordial Soup

Emerging from the depths of the human experience, the exhibition ‘Primordial Soup’ by Anastasiya Tarasenko explores the complex links between origin and destruction. Through detailed paintings on copper, the artist depicts surreal and satirical scenes, inspired by the fundamental conditions of life. The exhibition, presented by the Anna Zorina gallery, draws inspiration from the traumatic experience of an ectopic pregnancy, thus translating into an exploration of emotional instability and the capacity to create and destroy. Female figures are reflected in vast marine landscapes, symbolizing a journey between ascent and fall. This work, born from deep introspection, invites reflection on the cycles of life and death. The exhibition is free to access from April 16th to May 23rd, 2026.
