Animal House

Vija Doks created a unique dog from plastic bottles, and it’s one of the works presented in “Animal House,” a captivating exhibition at the Carter Burden Gallery. Five artists – Katharine Butler, Barbara Lubliner, Ira Pearlstein, Nieves Saah, and Vija Doks – use varied materials such as wood, pastel, and bottles to bring animal representations to life. The exhibition offers a fascinating glimpse into each artist’s creative processes, comparing and contrasting the techniques used. “Animal House” is a rare opportunity to appreciate the work of these lesser-known artists, supported by the Carter Burden Gallery in its mission to promote established talent. A reception will take place on August 6th starting at 6:00 PM, offering visitors a preview of the works and the chance to meet the artists. The exhibition is open from August 6th to September 1st.
