Anna Samara: Orion

Inspired by digital surveillance and online archives, Greek artist Anna Samara presents ‘Orion’, an immersive exhibition starting June 12, 2026. The work explores how images – thermal, originating from hunter vlogs and digital archives – move between the physical and digital worlds. Samara uses infrared coloring techniques to deconstruct our visual perception and question the complex links between observation and technology. This exhibition, presented by the Hyacinth Gallery in New York, is a fascinating exploration of fragmented internet culture. It relies on diverse sources: thermal images, online videos, digital archives, and digitally modified materials. ‘Orion’s Belt (2026)’ is one of the works presented. The exhibition is free to access from Friday, June 12th to Sunday, July 19th from 2pm to 6pm.
