April Gornik invites to an immersive contemplation with ‘Liminal States’, a new exhibition at Miles McEnery Gallery. The artist, known for her epic landscapes and her ability to evoke deep emotions, explores here states of transition and suspension. Her works, characterized by variations in size, propose a direct dialogue with the viewer, inviting them to lose themselves within them. These vast fields, skies, and expanses of water, devoid of human figures, are designed to elicit a sensory and contemplative experience. The exhibition, which runs from April 2nd to May 9th, is accompanied by an illustrated publication by Richard Deming. Gornik, inspired by cosmic moments such as a solar eclipse or the Annunciation, uses the dimensions of the artwork to create a sense of presence and wonder. The exhibition is open to the public and offers a unique opportunity to discover a deeply personal and contemplative work.
