Charles Ritchie: Drawings from a Room

In 2026, Charles Ritchie presents ‘Drawings from a Room,’ his first solo exhibition at Kathryn Markel Fine Arts. The artist, known for his explorations of abstraction and distorted landscapes, accumulates observations on time and change through drawings on paper. Each work is the result of an accumulation, a capture of fleeting moments and subtle transformations – houses that change, trees that fall. Ritchie prioritizes variation in size, shape, and technique, creating complex and nuanced compositions.
