Mitsumasa Kadota, an emerging figure in the Japanese art scene, presents ‘Dissolving Horizons’ at GOCA by Garde. This exhibition, which takes place within the context of Frieze Week, explores the tension between figure and ground, a central concept in Kadota’s work. Inspired by American Abstract Expressionism, notably Frankenthaler and Newman, he deconstructs the perception of space through dynamic brushstrokes and a worldview rooted in a non-Euclidean duality. The exhibition, open from May 7th to June 18th, 2026, invites reflection on the fluidity of reality and the dissolution of boundaries. It is presented by GOCA by Garde, a gallery dedicated to promoting contemporary Japanese and Asian art, and aims to stimulate cultural exchange. A unique opportunity to discover an audacious artist and an innovative approach to painting.
