Dreamkeeper

In March 2026, Hannah Traore Gallery will present ‘Dreamkeeper’, the first solo exhibition of artist Arlina Cai. This immersive exhibition explores the complexity of identity and heritage through vibrant textile artworks. Cai skillfully uses rug-hooking and embroidery to create striking portraits and domestic scenes, enriched with synthetic and human hair – an audacious and poignant approach. Inspired by a meditative practice, the artist intuitively works on unstretched canvases, allowing emotions and bodily sensations to guide her color palette. This exhibition, a collaboration between Hannah Traore Gallery and the artist, is a celebration of creativity and personal expression. It is open from March 19th to May 30th, 2026.
