Frank Paulin: Unseen Color 1956-2008 - Bruce Silverstein Gallery
Frank Paulin, a little-known figure in the New York photographic landscape, is finally presenting a previously unseen collection of his color works. The exhibition, “Unseen Color, 1956 - 2008,” presented by Bruce Silverstein Gallery, highlights a corpus of twenty photographs created between 1956 and 2008, which had long been hidden from the public. Paulin, known for his black and white images capturing urban life in New York, reveals here an unsuspected facet of his work. The exhibition offers a new perspective on the city through the vibrant colors of the 1960s and 70s, revealing urban landscapes and portraits of a bygone era. This first exhibition entirely dedicated to Paulin’s color photographs represents a major discovery for fans of modern art and New York photography. The exhibition is open from June 25, 2026, to September 3, 2026.
