GAHEE PARK — 'HALF-LOOKING, HALF-SEEN'

In April 2026, Perrotin New York will present an exclusive showcase of GaHee Park’s new paintings, the works preparatory for her first institutional exhibition in the United States. The artist, originally from Seoul and based in Montreal, explores themes of solitude and isolation through still lifes and portraits integrated into marine and terrestrial landscapes. The works, often centered on isolated human and animal figures on islands, highlight a tension between perception and its instability. This exhibition marks an important milestone in Park’s career, preceding her opening at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. The exhibition, free of charge, will be open from April 24th to May 30th, 2026, offering a glimpse into the ever-evolving body of work of this promising contemporary artist.
