George Rouy. Reprise

In 2026, Hauser & Wirth New York will present a fascinating work: *Reprise*, the latest series of sculptures exploring the human body by London-based George Rouy. This exhibition, presented in parallel with Hannah Barry Gallery, is part of an artistic approach obsessed with the transformation and reconstruction of the body – a theme explored for years by the artist. Rouy uses materials such as plaster and metal to capture moments of physical transition, evoking memories and states of becoming. The exhibition is the result of a two-phase exploration, offering a unique perspective on the fragility and resilience of the human body.
