Higher Perplexity

In 2026, Marco Maggi will exhibit ‘Higher Perplexity’ at Bienvenu Steinberg & C, a work resulting from an unprecedented exploration of visual complexity and the conflict between order and chaos. Inspired by electronic circuits and biological systems, the artist uses simple materials – metallic sheets, apples, ping-pong balls – to create abstract compositions that challenge our perception of space and form. Maggi is interested in how we process information in a saturated world where uncertainty has become the norm. His works, often described as ‘cultural criticism’, invite reflection on the limits of our understanding. The exhibition is free and open from October 8th to November 14th, 2026. This exhibition, Maggi’s eleventh solo show in New York, testifies to a singular artistic approach, exploring the paradox of the extraordinary within the ordinary.
