In place of no, my mouth leaks honey

Since the 19th century, beekeepers have entrusted beehives with the secrets of their emotional lives. Kat Howard explores this tradition with her first exhibition at Carvalho, “In Place of No, My Mouth Leaks Honey.” The artist uses the motif of the beehive to create sculptures exploring the depths of feeling and memory. Inspired by ancestral practices where bees were perceived as carriers of wisdom, Howard proposes an immersive experience where art becomes a space of revelation. The exhibition, which opens on April 2, 2026, marks an important step in the artist’s career. It is visible until May 30, 2026.
