Isca Greenfield-Sanders: The Language of Flowers

In 2026, Isca Greenfield-Sanders presents “The Language of Flowers,” an unprecedented exhibition exploring the legacy of female flower painters from the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries – Clara Peeters, Mary Delaney, and Agnes Northrop. Inspired by visits to gardens around the world and by botanical illustrations, stained glass, and photogravure drawings, Greenfield-Sanders revisits this visual language through mixed acrylic paintings. The exhibition highlights the richness of this often-overlooked tradition where nature was a subject of study and contemplation.
