JENS FÄNGE — 'ANTECHAMBER'

In 2026, Perrotin New York will host ‘Antechamber,’ a solo exhibition by the Swedish surrealist Jens Fänge. The artist, born in 1965 in Gothenburg, explores distorted interior spaces, where walls collapse and objects float, creating dreamlike scenes populated by people, animals, and mannequins. More than twenty new paintings unfold sequentially, each painting deconstructing the familiarity of the spaces to reveal changing meanings. Fänge manipulates perspective and scale, inviting the viewer into a world of distortion and mystery. This exhibition offers a novel perspective on architecture and perception, exploring the limits of space and reality. ‘Antechamber’ will be on view from April 24 to May 30, 2026.
