Jose Dávila: The Simple Act of Positioning

In 2026, Sean Kelly Gallery will present José Dávila’s fifth solo exhibition, exploring a fundamental sculptural approach: the act of positioning one object in relation to another. The artist, known for his minimalist approach, is interested in the tension between forms and the way space is created by these relationships. Dávila works without material transformation or traditional sculpture, focusing on the simple organization of volumes. This exhibition is a deep investigation of geometry and perception, where each arrangement reveals a new dimension.
