Julian Pozzi, a well-established figure of the New York art scene, presents a new series of works exploring the tensions between the body and its contradictions. “Hole in Mouth,” exhibited at The Painting Center from May 26th to June 20th, 2026, is a collection of 15 paintings created from a drawing-in-paint practice, developed over two decades. The artist uses abstract structures, lines, and marks to evoke a space shared by the physical and its discordances. These works, executed in oil and acrylic on linen, measure 38 x 48 inches. The exhibition, free of charge, offers a glimpse into Pozzi’s unique approach, often praised for his work in connection with community art and his commitment to artistic practice. The opening will take place on May 28th from 5pm to 7pm. A unique opportunity to discover contemporary art.
