Luke Agada: When the Center Holds

In 2026, Sean Kelly Gallery will present ‘When the Center Holds’, the first solo exhibition of Nigerian artist Luke Agada. The exhibition explores the lasting impact of historical and cultural transformations on a sense of belonging and community. Agada offers an immersive collection of paintings and drawings where human figures merge with landscapes laden with history, evoking moments of transition and resilience. The work invites deep reflection on how traditions and identities are maintained in the face of upheaval.
