Metropolitan Museum of Art: Pay What You Wish

The collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art present 5,000 years of human history, from Egyptian mummies to medieval armor and impressionist paintings. From January 24th to March 1st, 2026, these global treasures will be open to all at galleries with vaulted ceilings reminiscent of cathedrals of art. Residents of New York State and students from the tri-state area: pay what you wish at the entrance with just a valid ID. This unique gesture makes access to one of the most vast artistic encyclopedias in the world democratic, where every continent and millennium finds its place. A must-see passage for grasping humanity at a glance.
