Nikki Maloof — Menagerie

In 2026, Nikki Maloof invites you to explore a universe where you encounter imaginary interiors and fantastical landscapes. The artist, known for her paintings that depict the hidden world of the mind, uses these places as powerful metaphors for the human experience and our repressed primal instincts. Her recent works are expanding, now incorporating vast rural landscapes, testifying to a constant evolution of her pictorial language. Maloof explores the connections between decor and emotion, often through recurring motifs such as streaks or animal references – picnic blankets, enclosures, fences, furniture – creating thus a complex visual network. This exhibition at Perrotin New York offers an immersion into a poetic and introspective universe where reality and imagination blend to provoke reflection on our condition. The exhibition is free of charge.
