Pocket Paintings

In September 2026, Jeff Bliumis will exhibit an intimate collection of works titled “Pocket Paintings” at JO-HS, exploring the fusion between painting and its support. The artist, known for his deep engagement with materials and the creative process, presents works designed to be portable, thus challenging traditional conventions of art. These “pocket paintings,” as Bliumis calls them, are concrete explorations of form and matter, often combined with other media such as metal and drawing. JO-HS, a New York-based gallery recognized for its support of emerging and established artists, offers innovative exhibitions that push the boundaries of contemporary art. This exhibition provides a unique glimpse into Bliumis’s work, highlighting his experimental approach and singular creative vision. Visit JO-HS to discover this exclusive collection.
