Sally Silberberg: Shifting Ground

In 2026, Berry Campbell Gallery will showcase an unprecedented collection of porcelain sculptures by Sally Silberberg, an artist whose work, often overlooked, marked a turning point in the exploration of materials. This exhibition, curiously presented by Glenn Adamson (former Director of the Museum of Arts and Design), offers a rare glimpse of her oeuvre, primarily dating from the 1980s. Silberberg, whose creations are already integrated into the collections of the Smithsonian and the Brooklyn Museum, developed an innovative approach after initial challenges. The exhibition highlights a series of sculptural pieces, testifying to a constant search for form and matter.
