Shapeshifter

Paulette Esrig, George Goodridge, and Daniel Pailes-Friedman come together for the first time at the Carter Burden Gallery to challenge our perception of volumes. From May 28th to June 23rd, 2026, these three sculptors transform matter into a striking visual choreography. Far from traditional static structures, their works capture the precise moment when a silhouette mutates to become something else. George Goodridge works with organic curves while Paulette Esrig and Daniel Pailes-Friedman interrogate the tension and dynamics of forms in space. The experience focuses on raw energy and constant metamorphosis, offering a fresh perspective on the flexibility of materials. It’s a privileged opportunity to observe how emptiness and fullness dialogue to create a sense of permanent fluidity within the gallery.
