Sheida Soleimani: Forest of Stars

In 2026, Yancey Richardson Gallery will host its first exhibition of Sheida Soleimani, an Iranian-American artist, exploring the consequences of the 1979 Iranian Revolution. The work ‘Forest of Stars’ continues the line of her ‘Ghostwriter’ series, a poignant introspection on the exile of her parents. Soleimani uses photographs, digital manipulations, and handcrafted objects to weave a complex narrative of memory and resistance. The exhibition is a dialogue between the personal and the universal, addressing themes such as displacement, care, and power structures.
