In March 2026, the Carter Burden Gallery will present an immersive installation by Joy Nagy, ‘Tree Line’. This work, created in graphite on paper, transforms the On the Wall space into a miniature forest, measuring six feet high and rising to human scale. Each drawing depicts a tree, creating a captivating and contemplative visual experience. The exhibition, partially supported by the Philip and Edith Leonian Foundation, celebrates Nagy’s work and her unique approach to representing nature. It is part of a series of three exhibitions presented by the gallery, which is committed to giving a voice to older, less-known artists. A reception will take place on April 23rd from 7pm to 9pm. ‘Tree Line’ is an invitation to reflect on the relationship between man and nature, presented within the context of supporting the New York art scene.
