YOUNG-IL AHN: SELF REFLECTIONS

Born in Korea and raised in Japan, Young-Il Ahn (1934-2020) spent his life exploring the depths of abstraction. Perrotin New York presents ‘Self Reflections’, the first solo exhibition of his work, a recent representation of his artistic heritage. The exhibition highlights a collection of ten paintings from his celebrated “Water” series as well as a selection of abstractions covering fifty years of his career. Ahn, known for his unique and personal approach to color and form, created works that reflect his intimate reflections and passions.
