Crossroads

In June 2026, Van Der Plas Gallery presents ‘Crossroads’, a collective exhibition exploring the power of symbols in contemporary culture. Three artists – Buckingham, Diaz, and Groupp – revisit familiar images, words, and icons to challenge our everyday visual language. The exhibition is part of the gallery’s long tradition, which for over 40 years has highlighted the work of ‘outsider’ artists, ranging from urban art to indigenous art. ‘Crossroads’ invites reflection on the role of art in relation to the status quo, particularly concerning questions of commercialism and nostalgia. The exhibition is free and will be open from June 25th to July 19th, 2026. It fits into a broader dialogue between artistic creation and questioning contemporary realities.
