Fool’s Privilege

In July 2026, Uffner & Liu presents *Fool's Privilege*, a captivating exhibition bringing together sixteen artists whose works explore the figure of the trickster – a symbol of subversion and absurdity throughout history. The exhibition considers humor not merely as an escape, but as a powerful tool for challenging hierarchies and denouncing conventions. Artists such as Peter Saul, Dana Schutz, and Shafei Xia offer works that play with ridicule, transgression, and exaggeration. The exhibition draws inspiration from the tradition of the trickster, a mythological figure associated with inversion and questioning established order.
