Starting March 1, 2026, the Half Gallery will present a dialogue between two singular visions of contemporary painting. Colleen Barry celebrates the adoration of images through lush, figurative compositions. Her canvases reinterpret mythology and motherhood through a modern, fleshy prism, questioning the place of the sacred in our gaze. Across from her, Peter Doyle focuses on matter and landscape, playing with erosion and abstraction. This face-to-face between the precision of the body and the roughness of the earth interrogates our relationship to time and the transformation of forms. The works of these two artists inhabit the space until April 25, 2026, offering a sensitive journey between reverence and erasure, where each brushstroke seeks to preserve what escapes us.
