New Humans: Memories of the Future

Starting March 21, 2026, the New Museum inaugurates its spectacular extension designed by the OMA architecture firm. At the heart of these new, streamlined volumes, a major reflection engages on the evolution of our identity in the face of technological revolutions. The digital age challenges our certainties: where does the flesh end and the machine begin? The artworks gathered here question the fusion between the biological body and artificial augmentations, while mirroring our intimate memories and the algorithms of artificial intelligence. Through this extensive selection, humanity is reinvented, oscillating between nostalgia and futurism. It is a rare opportunity to confront our perceptions of being with the tools that now shape us daily. This presentation will remain visible until September 30, 2026.
