On the Nature of Daylight

In April 2026, Hollis Taggart will present a fascinating exploration of light and its influence on art. Curator Kristen Becker has assembled twelve artists whose works, ranging from figuration to abstraction, examine the presence and absence of light, as well as the spaces that nest within it. The exhibition, titled “On the Nature of Daylight,” highlights how light shapes the perception of space and form, and how it creates striking contrasts. Among the artists featured are Winnie Truong, Rafael Soriano, and LaKela Brown. This exhibition, a product of Hollis Taggart’s expertise in abstract and post-war American art, offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the complexity of light in contemporary art. It is free to the public from April 16th to May 23rd, from 2pm to 5pm.
