Paintings for Children

Zak Kitnick appropriates the visual codes of early childhood to transform the Nino Mier Gallery into a chromatic playground starting March 1st, 2026. Through vibrant primary-colored canvases, the artist evokes familiar silhouettes of trucks, buses, and stars that recall our first picture books. Beneath this apparent naiveté lies a profound reflection on how we learn to see and interpret the world. Kitnick strips his works of all superfluous complexity to achieve a total visual honesty, creating a bridge between kindergarten memories and contemporary art questions. These new creations, visible until April 25th, 2026, interrogate our perception of the image, from awakening to adulthood. An experience that reactivates our first gaze while stimulating the mind.
