Roy Lichtenstein: 1997

The latest creations of Pop Art pioneer Roy Lichtenstein are highlighted at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. This unique exhibition unveils rarely seen works from the last year of his life, offering an intimate glimpse into his final creative period. Prints, photographs, and sculptural sketches comprise this corpus, echoing and extending the themes dear to the artist. It engages in dialogue with the major exhibition ‘Like New’ presented on the upper floor. A visit is scheduled from September 5, 2026 to June 1, 2027 to capture these essential fragments of Lichtenstein's legacy.
