For over fifty years, Temma Bell has captured the essence of life through her paintings, rooted in her childhood in the Catskills and her travels, notably to Paris and Reykjavik. This exhibition, presented by the Bowery Gallery, offers a unique glimpse into her work, ranging from intimate portraits to vibrant landscapes. Curated by her daughter, Ulla Kjarval, it explores the relationship between personal experience and artistic creation. The works, primarily oil on canvas, testify to a singular approach, where light and color are used to translate emotions and memories. The exhibition is a rare opportunity to see the evolution of her style and to understand the influence of her environment on her art. A reception will be held on April 25, 2026. Visit the exhibition from April 21st to May 16th, 2026.
