Soft Ground at Atelier 11 Cité Falguière

In July 2026, the Atelier 11 Cité Falguière will host an exhibition dedicated to Miguel Cipriano, a Portuguese artist whose work explores the fascinating convergence between sculpture, photography and digital technologies. The ‘Soft Ground’ exhibition examines how the body transforms into data, then into object, and finally into image – a process of dematerialization and recomposition. Cipriano's oeuvre notably questions the place of the sculptural gesture in an era dominated by digital tools, offering a deep reflection on the evolution of artistic creation. Supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, this exhibition presents a series of photographs and sculptures testifying to this process of material transformation. It was born from a residency with L’AiR Arts, and fits within an artistic approach that values human intervention in the face of automation. The exhibition will run from July 9th to July 30th, 2026, Thursdays from 4pm to 8pm or by appointment.
