At the Instant T. Serge Najjar

At the age of thirty-seven, Serge Najjar began his photographic career by capturing fleeting moments with a phone. Today, the Galerie Lahumière is presenting for the first time his unique work. The artist transforms ordinary scenes – such as a construction worker – into striking geometric compositions. Influenced by Vasarely, Herbin and Aurélie Nemours, Najjar creates unreal spaces from real images, an approach reminiscent of Henri Cartier-Bresson’s “decisive moment.” His photographs, initially taken with a phone, reveal meticulous attention to detail and form, transforming the everyday into abstract works. The exhibition presents a collection of geometric images that seem to challenge the perception of space, testifying to an original and innovative artistic vision. The Galerie Lahumière thus offers a novel look at contemporary art.
