A Wider Gaze - FOTODOK x Atelier Néerlandais

In November 2026, the Atelier Néerlandais in Paris will host a collective exhibition exploring the complexity of European identity. Organized by FOTODOK with the invitation of the Embassy of the Netherlands, this presentation highlights the work of ten artists and photographers, each addressing the question of “being European” through diverse and often overlooked perspectives. The exhibition is part of the context of Paris Photo, an international showcase for photographic art. The presented works – including installations, videos, and textiles – deconstruct traditional notions of belonging by examining crucial themes such as colonial heritage, work, and identity. This initiative offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the contemporary issues of European construction.
