Trapped Things

Cyr Boitard and Sébastien Birchler cross paths at the Espace Chapon from January 13th to 18th, 2026. This artistic encounter puts in tension the finesse of engraving and painting with the physical presence of sculpture. Over less than a week, Boitard's works, centered on the line and color, engage in a silent conversation with the structured volumes of Birchler. This ephemeral proposal focuses on the balance between plan and form, offering a refreshing vision of contemporary art. The event is distinguished by this technical duality, where the engraver's precision challenges the density of the sculptor. A short but impactful rendezvous to appreciate raw materials and sensitive compositions at the heart of winter.
