Eugène Delacroix observed the animalistic power with the precision of a scientist and the fervor of a romantic. Starting September 12, 2026, his final studio welcomes two prestigious new residents: studies of Algerian studs, recently restored and never before exhibited to the public. These vibrant sketches reveal how the master captured the raw energy of a muscle or the shifting reflection of a golden robe. Beyond mere stylistic exercise, this juxtaposition highlights his visceral connection with the living through a selection of animal works emerging from the shadows. The Eugène Delacroix National Museum thus offers, until April 18, 2027, a privileged tête-à-tête with the genius of movement, within the intimate setting where he lived his final years.
