Slava Vorontsov Exhibition

Slava Vorontsov invests the Galerie du Haut Pavé from January 6th to January 31st, 2026, walking in the footsteps of Matisse and Dufy who marked this historical place since 1954. Freshly graduated from the Hérodote program at Paris Beaux-Arts dedicated to exiled artists, Vorontsov confronts expressive painting with fascinating anthropological research. His works, combining graphic and sculptural elements, question our animal side through instinctive gestures and vibrant colours. A striking central piece using a stretched animal skin on a frame rises in a raw metaphor of human violence and our natural frailty. This artistic proposal reinterprets classic pictorial heritage with rare contemporary intensity, illustrating how art allows us to reconnect with the world after the ordeal of exile.
