Gulliver 300 - Centre Culturel Irlandais
In 1726, Jonathan Swift published ‘Gulliver’s Travels’, a biting satire on English society. To mark the 300th anniversary of this iconic work, the Irish Cultural Centre and Marsh’s Library in Dublin are presenting a unique exhibition within its historic library. The event highlights original manuscripts and illustrations, offering privileged access to the rich world of the book. Visitors will be able to admire rare documents testifying to the evolution of translation and the lasting impact of this literary work on the world. This exceptional collaboration allows one to appreciate the richness and complexity of Swift’s work, as well as its relevance in today's society. The exhibition is free and accessible to the public from September 17th to November 30th, 2026.
