HANS SILVESTER: Seeing Clearly

Hans Silvester, a leading figure in world photography, takes over the Les Amies Rouges gallery with a series of silver prints of rare precision. These black and white works, highlighted at the prestigious Arles Encounters 2024, bear witness to the absolute mastery of a gaze that captures the instant with disarming acuity. The artist here favors the texture and light of traditional development to offer a visual testimony of great purity. This selection, presented from October 4, 2025, to January 17, 2026, highlights the talent of a photographer who has spent his life observing the world to extract its essence. Each shot becomes an intimate encounter with the subject, magnified by the depth of the silver grain. It is a privileged opportunity to admire the work of a master whose images indelibly mark the history of contemporary imagery.
