Optical Illusions

The human brain has a fascinating flaw: it sometimes interprets reality incorrectly. Starting November 6, 2025, the Bibliothèque André Malraux will highlight these visual misunderstandings through a selection of images from the famous educational universe "C'est pas sorcier". In partnership with Deux Coqs d'or editions, this interactive journey deconstructs the complex mechanisms of our sensory perception. Why does a static image suddenly seem to come to life? How do colors and perspectives manage to deceive our gaze? This installation makes the science of vision accessible to all, turning each panel into a captivating challenge for the mind. The event runs until January 1, 2026, offering an ideal opportunity to shake up your certainties and finally understand why our eyes often lie to us.
