European Museum Night

Under the immense glass dome of the Jardin des Plantes, seven thousand specimens seem to come alive once the sun sets. The Grande Galerie de l’Évolution transforms into a theater of shadows and light where time stands still. Starting May 17th, and during exceptional events scheduled until January 2028, this temple of biodiversity offers a silent walkthrough at the heart of natural history. Between the monumental skeletons of cetaceans and the majestic African caravan, the scenography highlights the fragility of life. The public enjoys privileged access to the permanent collections, enhanced by subdued lighting that sublimates every detail of the taxidermy and the iconic metal structure of the 19th century. It’s an opportunity to contemplate the animal world from an intimate and mysterious angle, away from the usual hustle and bustle of daytime visits.
