Larissa Fassler. State of Things

Larissa Fassler invests the Musée d'Orsay with a cartographer's gaze to probe the invisible: our own movements. Invited within the framework of future site redevelopment works, this Canadian artist analyzes meticulously how visitors appropriate space. Her empirical research transforms human flows into fascinating visual works, revealing the intimate relationship between the monumental architecture of the former railway station and the public who traverse it daily. Her work proposes a unique reading of the location, blending sociology with contemporary art, to better rethink the fluidity of future pathways. This singular experience is presented at the heart of the institution from January 6th to March 22nd, 2026.
