Levitation. Mathieu Forget, 10 Years of Photographs

For over a decade, Mathieu Forget has captured the suspended moment when the body defies gravity. The artist, dancer and artistic director, creates a unique photographic performance: to immortalize this brief moment of levitation. This exhibition, presented on the grounds of the Tour Saint-Jacques, highlights ten years of obsessive work, the result of a constant search to capture the tension between fall and ascent. Each image is the result of an instant shot, without editing or manipulation, offering a raw and poetic representation of this fleeting phenomenon. The exhibition offers an immersive experience where Parisian architecture dialogues with the artworks. Thanks to innovative technologies such as augmented reality (QR codes), visitors can plunge into the heart of Forgetmat Studio’s creative process and discover videos of the original shoots.
